Artist's Profile
Mette Møller Overgaard is a choreographer and artistic director behind Tiny Dancer. She is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. With a background in dance and participation and a deep-rooted fascination with children's theatre and dance, Mette creates sensorial and interactive performances that invite children and their adults into poetic, co-creative spaces.

Project Plan
Research for a new choreography for the youngest audience, ages 0-2.5 years old. The project takes inspiration from gift-giving as a fundamental human practice. It is a choreographic exploration of what it means to give and receive--not only physical gifts, but also attention, gaze, movement, and presence.
The work is rooted in a deep intercultural collaboration, where the artistic concept and materials are developed in close dialogue between the two artists from Japan and Denmark.
