"Last day in Tokyo", photo, 2017
Residence Plan
While in Tokyo I will continue my work on "Nature and Modernity", which I have been developing since 2012 in Japanese cities, and also in Canada. This work directly informs - and is in dialogue - with my research the Tohoku region of Japan, also ongoing since 2012. In 2020, I was in Japan to continue these two projects when the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted my stay and our lives. This 2023 return to Japan marks the resumption of this work, and the opportunity to reflect on my practice in our new context.

Base of Activity: Montreal, Canada.
Media Used: Photography, video
Before devoting myself to photography in 2008, I worked for over ten years in the international development field. Today, my practice keeps looking at development and nature, trauma and collective memory, migration and other geographically complex realities, including climate and sanitary changes. I develop my projects in chapters over a period of several years, presenting them through complementary platforms ranging from traditional media to contemporary art spaces.
