Residence Plan
The works that we will present at 3331 will focus upon time.
"Ignition" is series of tapestries that depict fossil-fuel disasters. We have taken these photographs and rendered them using the laborious technique of cross-stitching.
Alongside these works we will present our video work "The Pilgrims" this video documents jet-setting Millennials as they take selfies within the ruins of Airplanes in a Boneyard in Bangkok.
These works explore our accelerated experience of time.

1) Oku-Noto Triennial, Suzu, Japan, 2021
2) "The Pizza Effect", Tenjinyama Artist Studios, Sapporo, 2018
3) "Once Removed", 53rd La Biennale di Venezia, Italy, 2009

Base of Activity: Sydney, Australia
Media Used: Sculpture, installation, painting, video

Healy and Cordeiro use their artistic practice as a tool to help locate themselves within the systems employed by our society. They believe that the central motif of our age is the tension between Primacy of the Individual and the Social Contract that is subscribed to through our complex, global inter-dependancy. The formal and informal systems that our collective society utilizes both supports and constricts the individuals that comprise the organization.
