Residence Plan
For this residency, I will explore the streets of Japan in order to capture how the environment is torn between tradition and modernity, technology and handicrafts, past and future. I will use expired films as a new dispositive to detach myself from the overuse of digital photography. Because photography has become such a popular form of art, especially with the emergence of social media, my goal is therefore to present images that seem familiar but are visually altered.

Aurelie Crisetig (b. 1992, Vevey) is a Swiss photographer and visual artist. She uses photography as a tool to explore the alteration of human memory in a world overwhelmed by digital entities. Working both with film and digital photography, her works reflect on the constant use of mechanical recordings, especially in public and cultural places.
