Residence plan
Selina will be illustrating a one-shot manga that reflects Japanese culture through the eyes of those who live there. Photos submitted by locals will be illustrated into a cohesive chapter that celebrates the Japanese experience. Through this, she not only hopes to learn more about the community but produce a work that shows her appreciation for the stories and the manga artform. She will also be hosting a character design and story-telling workshop for beginner manga artists and writers.

Selina Davis is an American born aspiring manga artist. Her projects have included producing manga based on her own experiences and exploring ways to bring the art of manga into various media formats; from manuscript pages to 3D forms. Heavily influenced by all things kitsch and Pop art, she aims to create work that is fun for all audiences with a fresh perspective and a vintage feel.
