To the outsider whether domestic or foreign the identities and characteristics of those apart of the fashion subcultures in Tokyo, Japan are seen in the context of the collective still failing to see the expression of the "individual" self shrouded in clothing and what some may argue a contradiction to their efforts of truly being seen for who they are. In this photo series, Brock examines the personal identity of her subjects within the cultural nuances of the social group they are apart of.
