Residence plan
As an artist in residence, I will research and develop a live performance lecture that investigates the appeal of miniatures, in particular, the phenomena of mini Japanese foods and the videos of their preparation posted on YouTube. I will host a performance lecture-cum-cooking show during which I'll prepare a miniature meal while exploring such themes as the scale, the nature of cuteness, and the rituals of food preparation.

I work in performance, theatre, installation, costume, and sculpture. I tailor my mode of creation to the concept or location in which I am working, creating a dialogue with context. I have produced and shown work globally. My experiences traveling and working with other artists from different cultural backgrounds has greatly influenced my approach to making work. My artistic and practical processes are an imprecise yet dexterous way of interacting with the world.
