Residence Project - Artist Statement

I will be working on a series of photographic works based on the exploration of local environment and community. My purpose is to examine distinct aesthetic experiences through the observation of everyday life, and to explore the visual form of some essential aesthetic expressions that are rooted deeply in Japanese culture and literature.

Feiyi Wen (b.1990) is a visual artist and researcher that lives and works in London, UK. She works with different mediums such as photography, moving image, sound and installation. She is currently undergoing a practice-led PhD at Slade School of Fine Art (UCL).
