Residence Period: 2011.01.30-2011.03.03
Hisano took this opportunity to revive a long term project "Wearing a Story" in which she engages in an intimate dialogue with local people through the exchange of clothes filled with a particular memory and the stories attached to them. Based upon these dialogues Hisano developed a series of paintings depicting interpretations of these stories and representing each individual she had spoken with. These were exhibited along with documentation of the interviews and examples of the clothes themselves.

In this special artist in residency program 3331 entered into collaboration with a number of art centres and organizations across the Asia-Pacific to offer support for young artists and nurture professional development in the arts. 9 artists recommend by these arts organizations throughout Japan and the Asia-pacific came together at 3331 for 1 month, engaging in the local neighbourhood while producing new work. Through the many people and events they encountered, the discoveries and inspiration they were met with they developed their work, which was then finally presented in an exhibition in 3331's main gallery.
