Residence Plan
My plan for this residency is to focus on creating works that's continue to bridge the physical and metaphysical worlds. In this case I will be exploring the way a city (specifially Tokyo City) acts as one giant organism. During the first week at the residency, I will be spending my time exploring the city of Tokyo usual a camera to document pictures of city streets, achitexture, culture and any interesting textures I find along the way. Next, I will start my project of curating multiple intricate drawings inspired by the photos I have taken. I will be bringing my own paper and pens and will buy any additional materials (such as extra paper and printed photos) in Japan if needed. in the last week i will be using this time to plan and prepare for a gallery exhibition.

Kriy Honores is an emerging artist with an interest in exploring the relationshps between the physical and metaphysical world, often coupled with themes of life and death. A majority of Kriy's art pulls inspiration from 1400s European woodcut style and focuses on creating intricately detailed pen ink drawings, layered with lines, texture and metaphores. From drawing to painting, Kriy creates a surreal realm full of symbolim and stories.
