Profile
Eric Ladouceur's artistic practice revolves around installation, drawing, and performance. He draws his inspiration from social cynicism, influenced by all forms of conditioning through images. He explores various representations of dogmas inherent in the myth of eternal youth and mass control through animal representation. His most recent installation works are grounded in the tradition of drawing and illustration but involves a bodily engagement that strongly resembles a performative gesture.

Project Plan
This project stems from a personal fascination with baseball, and more specifically with one of its simplest and symbolically charged shapes: the home plate, the pentagonal base, the heart of the field. The home plate embodies the idea of home, of return, of departure and arrival. It anchors the space of the game like a symbolic cell, an orientation. Through this project, I seek to explore how this geometric form can resonate with broader notions of home, mental territory, and narrative space.
