Artist's Profile
Maeve Pinheiro is a surrealist painter and natural scientist exploring themes of existentialism, beauty, and age in her work. Heavily inspired by the surrounding environment, Maeve reflects the colors, forms and fragile details of everyday life in her paintings. Previous studies of the Irish countryside were exhibited in both Co. Waterford and Co. Clare, Ireland, and Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Project Plan
Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki and Shinto beliefs, Maeve intends to use animism and the romanticization of the "dull" to answer some of life's most pressing questions. She prefers to work en plein air and incorporate real, natural elements into her work.
