Residence Plan (Artist's Statement)
With 'SPIRIT REALM - THE NEW DAWN OF HUMANITY,' I want to connect to a city, its citizens, and their interactions in a way that questions the very perception of humanity and our interlinked lives. I've had this project in mind for quite some time and designed it specifically to be staged in Tokyo. The residency represents the perfect opportunity to realize it, as the city fits exactly the framework of this project (human-computer interaction, platforms, big data, and digital citizenship).

Benjamin Weber is an international artist, developer, and researcher. His practice stems from a hacker background, constantly pushing the boundaries of emerging technologies. His work spans interactive real-time computer graphics to large-scale immersive environments, drawing inspiration from computational thinking, analog and digital circuits, and advanced machine learning. Benjamin work seeks to craft new interactive, adaptive, and transformative digital art experiences.
