Residence Plan (Artist's Statement)

"Resonance in Motion" is a dual-artist collaboration featuring audiovisual works by Ania Reynolds and Alisa Tanaka-King. This event invites audiences on a series of sonic journeys, where sound becomes both narrative and portrait--capturing the essence of place and unlocking the transformative potential of sound. Through immersive soundscapes, each piece offers a unique listening experience, exploring the ways in which sound can transport and evoke emotion, memory, and meaning.

Ania is a multi award-winning artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist who works and collaborates across a range of disciplines and has presented her original music and work across five continents. She is passionate about creating live music performances that are accessible to everyone and often performed in unconventional and unexpected public locations. Her audiovisual practice explores and celebrates the intrigue and delight that can be found in the everyday and the seemingly ordinary.
