Profile
Swiss artists Jan Schacher (sound artist, interaction technologist) and Angela Stoecklin (dancer, choreographer) work on interaction between the two art-forms where the body can take on the role of a musical instrument and sounds obtain a physical form and expresses motion patterns. By exposing their long-term collaborative series in an intercultural context, issues of interaction and communication are explored on multiple layers.
Past collaborative works include: "sounding bodies-moving sounds" - inter-cultural and inter-disciplinary residencies New Delhi, India and Habana, Cuba; "dense moments-a song cycle" held at Atelier Hermann, Hochdorf and Pantographe, Moutier; and "one hand clapping" in Habana.
