During her residency Lucie Kim realized a new stage in her ongoing "Wake Up/Make Up" project which invites women to share with the artist their appearance at the moment of waking up, and the following transformation they undergo before going out for the day. Lucie contacted over 10 women living in the Tokyo region and shared intimate personal moments with each individual photographing them immediately after they had awoken after a night's sleep and then again after they had washed, changed and made up.
